# Quanteec

> Quanteec is a peer-assisted (P2P) video delivery SDK for P2P streaming, peer-assisted streaming and video streaming delivery optimization. It cuts CDN cost by about 50% and absorbs live traffic peaks. It installs inside a streaming platform's existing player, is CDN-agnostic and DRM-compliant, and adds player-level observability. Built by QUANTEEC (SAS), Bordeaux, France.

Quanteec adds one P2P peer-assisted streaming delivery layer inside your existing player (Web, Android, iOS). Eligible viewers securely share verified video segments with each other, so the share of traffic that would hit your CDN at peak is carried peer-to-peer at a much lower rate. The CDN stays in place as the safety net, nothing else is deployed, and every delivery decision is measurable per stream, event and viewer.
